“I am thankful to be able to work on my art full time and find great enjoyment in creating and sharing my work.”

Elizabeth is born and raised in Northern California and has been creating and collecting since elementary school. When she was young, she expressed her unique style with different colored neon socks, poofy colorful scrunchies and leggings covered in safety pins with beads. In other words, she is meant to live this colorful creative passion.

The focal point of this piece is a flexible gold placemat. This otherwise discarded item has been upcycled and transformed into a golden goddess headpiece. The inspiration for this piece stems from Elizabeth's love for creating wearable art with a modern twist.

In her younger years she loved art and would be overjoyed to find new beads and materials to work with. She would often be working on several jewelry pieces at once and loved to collect vintage jewelry and materials when traveling to new places. This still rings true today as her studio has her collection on display and is a vibrant space to find inspiration and create.

Deconstructing jewelry and other found pieces is like a game of Tetris. Elizabeth loves the challenge of reworking and up cycling different materials. For this piece vintage costume jewelry and beads are used to adorn a glamorous crown base.

In 2020, Vintage Fusion Jewelry was established as a full-time endeavor. Vintage Fusion creates a wide array of modern handmade works of wearable art from an assemblage of vintage costume jewelry, purses, clothing and other eclectic multiform pieces. From special occasion to everyday pieces the bold colors, patterns and textures will bring the wearer complete enjoyment.

“Generally, her statement pieces take several hours to complete and she has multiple pieces in production at once so she can move from piece to piece depending on her mood and new ideas.”

Elizabeth's keen eye and love for rescuing treasures serves her well as she finds otherwise discarded items from thrift stores. These treasures find a new life through her creative process. Elizabeth has always been fascinated by color, textures, beads and sequins and likes to incorporate them into her pieces.

“Her lifelong love for beading and creating has expanded throughout the years and
this passion has become increasingly therapeutic as she works through the grief of losing her husband 3 and 1/2 years ago.”

Elizabeth's work is meant to be free flowing and non-symmetrical as her inspiration lies in the unpredictability of what unfolds during the creative process. There are so many interesting items that can be deconstructed and transformed into bold pieces and she is always up for the challenge of putting a new spin on these reclaimed materials.

Why can't we just love each other? This piece was created in and effort to inspire others to spread love. Heart beads of varying sizes and colors are individually wire wrapped on this non symmetrical head piece.

“While working in her sales career, she would still find time to create on the side and often successfully vended at different markets and craft shows throughout the greater Bay Area.”

The sun is out and we all need protection. This piece started out as a white purse and took on a life of its own. Each flower was individual created to produce a colorful flower bed.

The creative process starts during the hunt for materials. Elizabeth is able to create a vision for ordinary objects as she scours thrift stores throughout the bay area. Her brain is always thinking of the next creation and ways to modernize her materials and make them wearable. The process is then fluid as she chooses from her wide array of fabrics, beads and adornments to bring her ideas and vision to life.

An assemblage of mixed materials are featured in this rich purple headdress. Inspiration came from creating a unique one of a kind statement piece that sparkles.

Vintage Fusion has a client base that tends to be people who let their imaginations run wild and have the confidence to share it. In addition, Vintage Fusion Jewelry also works closely with models, stylists and private clients to design custom creations for events.

Elizabeth enjoys using different colors, shapes and textures in her work. This piece is no different as she finishes this triangular wire wrapped necklace with a statement tassel.

Inspiration for her work is drawn from unique and bold patterns, textures and colors in found items. She is passionate about upcycling and deconstructing old jewelry and materials to create modern wearable art and loves to see clients and models wearing her unique colorful and sparkly creations.

This is one of my favorite creations to date. Headpiece has been created from red and black beads and pieces of a vintage gold purse.

“Throughout her life Elizabeth has continued to learn new skills and amass an extensive bead, button, and costume jewelry collection.”

This glamorous sparkly piece has been created from a vintage shirt, costume jewelry and beads. Piece is finished with gold netting to tie.

Some favorite materials to work with are costume jewelry, vintage purses, fabrics, shoes, clothing and metal objects. Techniques include but are not limited to wire wrapping, restringing and reknotting, sewing and putting materials together in new and interesting ways. There is nothing bland about Vintage Fusion Jewelry as color has always been a must in her life, style and wearable art.

This piece features vintage costume jewelry and lots of sparkly beads. Inspiration was so that kids can feel glamorous , too.

Along with her colorful creations, Elizabeth is passionate about custom work. She takes great pride in helping clients recreate family heirloom costume jewelry into beautiful pieces that can be worn and gifted to future generations. In addition, she takes on many projects that entail updating and/or fixing sentimental pieces for clients to enjoy and wear once again.

Sticking with the geometric theme this piece features diamond shaped pieces from a vintage bracelet. Inspiration for this piece stems from wanting to feel glamorous in your own skin.

“Elizabeth also enjoys connecting with people and as a result, clients feel connected to her jewelry through experience, memories and the beauty in repurposed objects.”
