Yellow and Black Photography Quote (1).p

“I attempt to capture a visual story of the moment, through the presentation of the emotion and expression of my thoughts and feelings.”

With my renderings of botanical, ancient historical monuments, landscapes, seascapes, animals, and nature, I attempt to capture a visual story of the moment, through the presentation of the emotion and expression of my thoughts and feelings with the various artistic mediums. I work in watercolor, acrylic, oil paint, and occasionally, pen and ink using what I call a tight, illustrative hand.

I referenced a royalty-free photo of this shaggy horse. The title popped into my head! Horses are very enjoyable to draw and paint. I need to do more.

This creative journey began during my youth. I have always been creative and a visual artist. But life and adulthood interrupted a promising potential professional career in art.

A city scene from the past. Gone are the days of hanging your laundry out to dry, with the water dripping on passersby below.

When we fast forward a few years to my family life, the fond memory of my sketching, doodling, and the occasional painting for my two daughters when they were very little, motivated their love and encouragement as beautiful young adults to urge me to pursue a professional art career.

As I age in what some call the retirement years of life, my art career is young and vibrate and my artwork is a visualization of a life lived.

As I age in what some call the retirement years of life, my art career is young and vibrate and my artwork is a visualization of a life lived. I think all the more so better for it. I have lived a stressful life, family separation, lack of employment, and near starvation at times.

My work is an expression of the adventure, and sometimes the torture, we humans must endure. I like to say my work is “warm and fuzzy.” However, living in this world is not always easy. With each piece of art, my life is on display, not always beautiful and direct.

My tribute to the 17th-century artist Caravaggio. Doubting Thomas pointing his finger in the side wound of Christ.

Today, my artwork has been exhibited across the United States and Europe in brick-and-mortar gallery shows and online exhibitions, and awarded excellence in art certificates.

Animals can be so funny, and I found this royalty-free photograph and had to paint this sexy lady.

However, I consider myself blessed for the love of my daughters requesting works of beauty. As a visual artist utilizing the various mediums and working in a representational style. My creations express this passion and enjoyment of nostalgic radio, history, and world travel. I am predominantly self-taught, the emphasis is not so much about rendering, but focused on the visualization of the emotion and feeling of the moment.

Animals can be so funny, and this royalty-free reference photo put a smile on my face. I had to capture that expression.

The effective use of color, object placement, and arrangement of brush strokes, layers of paint, lines, shading, and all the elements of each piece can capture a moment in time and life for the viewer like nothing else. With my hands and artistic skills, I can inspire and uplift the souls of others.

With all the strive and stress our country has endured during 2020. Legends say the cardinal brings hope and peace.

Only a handful of family and friends had ever seen any of my art before I began this career journey. Today, my artwork has been exhibited across the United States and Europe in brick-and-mortar gallery shows and online exhibitions, and awarded excellence in art certificates.

An appropriate name for this piece. Roses have always honored our Mother Mary. Just look in the phone book and count the many ladies with the name Rosa Maria!

I consider myself blessed for the love of my daughters requesting works of beauty.

A piece from my junk car and truck illustration series. Broken, and rusting with dignity. A metaphor for our lives!

In a few short years, thousands upon thousands of art enthusiasts have come to enjoy my creations. I have always said that I am not out to change the world. However, if my artwork can put a twinkle in the eye and place a smile on the face of a stranger, then I am a successful working professional artist.

A shelf of old memories, good, pleasure, fear, happiness, we all have them. Somewhere in our house, waiting to reawaken.

What started years ago as a request from two little girls, “Daddy draw me something,” has blossomed into a delightful, joyful, and enduring legacy achievement. I am truly blessed with a divine gift in helping someone to take a break from their hurried troubled day, to give the world beauty is an awesome and humbling power indeed!

Don't disturb a wild buffalo! These amazing beasts ran in the thousands across the great American West.

“I am not out to change the world. But if my art can put a twinkle in the eye and place a smile on the face of a stranger, then I am a successful working professional artist.”
