“I believe that true art comes from within and that colour is central to my expression.”
Chanda Raj is an artist whose art is characterized by layers of depth and resonance, colorful lyricism, and a plethora of tactile surfaces. She was born in India, New Delhi. She has been in the US for 18 years and is currently residing in Kansas.
The painting depicts an African woman who has some traditional outfits on her head and ears. This is an excellent background of the African continent known for its culture and heritage. Like Chanda’s piece of work, classical art has a significant historical significance. This piece of artwork, at first glance, looks like an ordinary African woman but a closer look gives us a different view. Green symbolizes the nature that Africa is much known for.
She has an intuitive approach to creativity and, with a fusion of realism with abstraction, comes to fruition through an innate and harnessed use of color and composition and deft use of acrylic paint
The two images in the picture can draw the viewer's attention to the different perspectives of the artist. One image represents a relaxed and calm presence. The main focus of the first face describes calm and coolness. The mouth is painted so that it illustrates a sense of satisfaction and composure. The second painting depicts a different mood as she focuses on having a picture of a person with a long face. This image can be described as a traditional painting of the human race.
Her painting depicts a romantic voyage to a place and time that will bring life to the commonplace. The art she creates is propelled by passion and is new-fangled. Picturesque landscapes, Mountains, birds and flowers, women with musical instruments, and dancers are bought to life with contrasting and harmonious colours and bold compositions.

The colors yellow, black, and orange are used in this surrealistic artwork to create its effect. There are a number of figures that might be interpreted as trees.
