Yellow and Black Photography Quote (1).p

“My artworks are always a reflection of my emotions and my life circumstances.”

Since 2003, Alexandra Mohr has been professionally producing her own creative line and, in addition, she also makes individual artworks on request.

The works of art clarify the mystery of experiencing the "here and now". Strictly speaking, all the experiencing always takes place here and now, but often without the accompaniment of our consciousness. Only this conscious accompaniment of our mind in the present fully opens our senses and makes a perhaps everyday experience a joy.

In 2018, she decided to go public with her world of emotional paintings! It was not an easy decision, putting out her innermost thoughts for display to the world, but it was worth it. She would never have it any other way.

The eyes stand for transparency and insight and the optical perception is shaped by each individual's own mood and experience. Another person will never be able to see and feel what you feel when you look at this picture.
Life is always in flux, there is no beginning and no end, time never stands still. Is it then not all the more important to appreciate the "now" in order to receive and shape the future with joy and with an alert eye? To recognize yourself, the power and strength that is in you, to accept the future positively.

Besides numerous exhibitions, she has also participated in several art competitions and won awards in different categories. Over time, she has also intensified her activities on her social media pages and thus was able to immensely increase her degree of popularity.

"My curiosity and imagination always win out in the creation of new artworks."

With a preference for large-format paintings, she likes to play with intense and pure colors, which are sometimes applied impasto and sometimes with her hands. It all depends on how intensely she feels her emotions and what feels right at the given moment.

“Expressive faces, impressive bodies and shapes, with depth and the courage to look more closely behind the scenes and to show the truth, therein lies my passion."

Detached to the use of different techniques, her curiosity and imagination always win out in the creation of new artworks. It is how she proceeds and lets her imagination guide her without worrying about the final outcome. She says it's all about putting faith in her creative instincts

Past, Present, Future 2
Experiencing and the experienced is a flow of movement and is always dependent on the observer.
The perception of his own time, the realistic and unadorned "now" can sometimes also become a painful self-experience. With the memory of the past we build "now" with hopeful expectation, a better, more beautiful future. But we are repeatedly caught up by our own experiences that hinder us and the "now" is lost from sight and we are caught in the snares of the past.
The picture asks you to "look now!"
What lies between the "snares?" The hidden? The invisible you?
The fleeting "now" is shy and cautious and yet also curious about what is coming.
Every human being has the possibility at any time to consciously experience and form his own presence.

"In combination with different materials and techniques, the figurative exhibits I create become images of different meanings, but they always leave room for the viewers' personal emotions."

The image resembles a timeline:
Past/present/future
This illustrates how space and time merge and are inseparable.
The past is a "bundle" of memories, which sometimes remain more or less in our memory, which become distorted or dissolve completely. And yet, we will find parts of these memories in the future that we experience in the present.
The central woman's face is an invitation for a "moment" to keep one's own present in front of one's eyes with all its feelings and sensations. To look in order to catch the view and to take the time now to meet oneself. The speed at which the now moves and becomes the past is subjective and depends on the person experiencing it.
A multitude of faces of the past often overshadow our lives and influence our future. Dangers lurk in the clinging of the past, blocking openness to the present. A very strong power that can make the central I disappear.

Unlike most other artists, Alexandra doesn't rely on sketches before she actually picks up the colors to paint the canvas. Instead, she directly starts painting without making any sketches to guide her. She believes such works are always a more accurate reflection of her emotions and her life circumstances.

Time is a perennial theme of history, cultures, religions, philosophers, scientists, and artists who continue to redefine, contemplate, explore, and depict it. Even in ancient times, time was philosophized about, Augustine wrote... "That which exists is the present, the now, the past and future are only memories or expectations in the present." And Titzian represented it artistically with his "Allegory of Time".

Events, situations, and words, that leave us speechless are her colors on the canvas, making visible what usually remains hidden between the lines. She always tries to focus on giving voice to the unspoken and bringing to light what is invisible, through her art. It is her way of bringing to notice things that often go unnoticed.

Blue is the coolest, purest, and deepest color that stands for the unconscious, mental depth, and inner silence. The color blue also applies to spiritual development, stands for strength and depth, and is the property of being able to better recognize immaterial connections.
The red stands for energy, liveliness, joy, but also injuries.

Alexandra always tries to combine different materials and "canvas on canvas" techniques, in her figurative works to make them different "images of meaning." However, it doesn't mean she forgets the viewers' emotions in the process. The artist believes that all her work always has some space to accommodate what a viewer is going through while spectating her work, it is the space to build a connection between the two.

"I like to play with intense and pure colors."

Devotion and passion can only be experienced by those who are aware of their own strength and who have confidence in themselves.

Most of Alexandra's artworks in her words 'speak for themselves.' They are not merely just figurative paintings but artworks with faces that express, bodies and shapes that don't just impress but carry a level of depth and have the courage to look closely behind the scenes and uncover the truth. It is the passion to uncover the truth through her paintings that drives her.

In the realm of Greek mythology, hybrid beings were invaluable, with the advantages of their dual nature, the mythical creatures used their assets as desired.
Our development is not finished yet for a long time. By external and internal influences, processes are changed and inherited, which provide for further development or regression. The human ability of abstraction is missing and unlike the animals, with it we could create understanding, tolerance, love, and peace.
Aggression, fighting, and killing are more associated with animals, and animalism is found all over the world...They call themselves: HUMAN
HUMAN OR ANIMAL?

7 of Alexandra's paintings from the series "The Times," which she has displayed with TERAVARNA were also on exhibition at the "HONG ART MUSEUM" in Chongqing/ China from May 14 - July 14, 2021. The series is one of her favorite works and has been created with immense hard work, passion, and emotions.

The most beautiful example from nature, which stands for a new beginning, is the pupation of the caterpillar, which partially dissolves and, after the transformation, has nothing in common with a caterpillar, but a graceful butterfly emerges.

The birth of the slings or cocoon.
An umbilical cord that provides emotional and essential sustenance.
The cocoon in which we mature, which means withdrawal and isolation, is a process of inner transformation and freedom.
But the cocoon is also valuable, without its properties a reawakening would not be possible.
Can the future already be felt in the present in this meshwork?
The cycle and the everlasting energy flow make the becoming and passing possible!

"My works tend to begin spontaneously without any prior sketches."
