Mohr

Alexandra

GERMANY

Yellow and Black Photography Quote (1).p

“Alexandra’s artworks are always a reflection of her emotions and her life circumstances.”

Since 2003, Alexandra Mohr is professionally producing her own creative line and, in addition, individual artworks are made on request.

The works of art clarify the mystery of experiencing in the "here and now". Strictly speaking, all experiencing always takes place here and now, but often without the accompaniment of our consciousness. Only this conscious accompaniment of our mind in the present fully opens our senses and makes a perhaps everyday experience a joy.
"The Times" are on exhibition at the "HONG ART MUSEUM" in Chongqing/ China. May 14 - July 14 2021.

In 2018, she decided to go public with her world of emotional paintings!

Past, Present, Future

The eyes stands for transparency and insight and the optical perception is shaped by each individual's own mood and experience. Another person will never be able to see and feel what you feel when you look at this picture.
Life is always in flux, there is no beginning and no end, time never stands still. Is it then not all the more important to appreciate the "now" in order to receive and shape the future with joy and with an alert eye? To recognize yourself, the power and strength that is in you, to accept the future positively.

Besides exhibitions and her participation gained awards in art competitions she intensified activities in the social media and thus was able to increase degree of popularity immense.

Her curiosity and imagination always win out in the creation of new artworks.

With a preference for large-format paintings, she likes to play with intense and pure colors, which are sometimes applied impasto and sometimes with her hands.

“Expressive faces, impressive bodies and shapes, with depth and the courage to look more closely behind the scenes and to show the truth, therein lies my passion,” Alexandra says.

Detached of the use of different techniques, her curiosity and imagination always win out in the creation of new artworks.

Past, Present, Future 2
Experiencing and the experienced is a flow of movement and is always dependent on the observer.
The perception of his own time, the realistic and unadorned "now" can sometimes also become a painful self-experience. With the memory of the past we build "now" with hopeful expectation, a better, more beautiful future. But again and again we are caught up by our own experiences that hinder us and the "now" is lost from sight and we are caught in the snares of the past.
The picture asks you to "look now"!
What lies between the "snares"? The hidden? The not visible of you?
The fleeting "now" is shy and cautious and yet also curious about what is coming.
The human being has the possibility at any time to consciously experience and form his own presence.

In combination with different materials and techniques, the figurative exhibits become different "images of meaning" but always leave room for the viewer's personal emotions.

The image resembles a timeline:
Past/present/future ▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪
This illustrates how space and time merge and are inseparable.
The past is a "bundle" of memories, which sometimes remain more or less in our memory, which become distorted or dissolve completely. And yet, we will find parts of these memories in the future that we experience in the present.
The central woman's face is an invitation for a "moment" to keep one's own present in front of one's eyes with all its feelings and sensations. To look in order to catch the view and to take the time now to meet oneself. The speed at which the now moves and becomes the past is individual and depends on the person experiencing it.
A multitude of faces of the past often overshadow our lives and influence our future. Dangers lurk in the clinging of the past, blocking openness to the present. A very strong power that can make the central I disappear.

Her works begin spontaneously, without sketches, and are always a reflection of her emotions and her life circumstances.

Describe your image

Time is a perennial theme of history, cultures, religions, philosophers, scientists, and artists who continue to redefine, contemplate, explore, and depict it.
Even in ancient times time was philosophized about, Augustine wrote... "That which exists is the present, the now, the past and future are only memories or expectations in the present." And Titzian represented it artistically with his "Allegory of Time".

Events, situations and words, that leave us speechless are her colors on the canvas, making visible what usually remains hidden between the lines.
